How are these wonderful pieces made?
First, the artisan molds the raw clay.
He then, uses his hands, feet, a wooden pallet and a stone to better shape the clay.
The turn table is never use in the making of the ceramic piece.
The first colors are then added. All the colors used are natural from the ground and leaves.
The next step is to put the pieces in the oven. The ceramic piece is placed in the oven with burning mango leaves, giving the piece the black color. Some use a nicer oven than others, but the result is the same.
When the parts come out of the oven, the artis shine them using a black stone.
The result, a beautiful piece. Different artisans have their own particular style.
